The personal data in our Register is primarily used for providing products, customer communication, business planning and development, managing, maintaining and developing customer relationships, and improving the user experience. Improving the user experience mainly refers to maintaining and developing the website to ensure its functionality (more information about cookies can be found later in this document).

The basis for processing personal data is your consent, placing an order and thereby entering into a contract, compliance with legal obligations (for example, for accounting and taxation purposes), and our legitimate interests.

In the marketing of our products and other business communications, the processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest in promoting our operations and managing customer relationships.

The processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest in managing customer relationships and acquiring new customers.

In connection with inquiries, we are committed to not processing sensitive personal data through social media channels. Such communications may take place through various social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, as well as via email, text messages, and WhatsApp.

When you, as a user of a social media platform, have accepted that platform’s terms of use and use the platform, you are responsible for your own personal data. We do not assume responsibility for personal information that a registered user has shared on one or more social media platforms, nor do we undertake to protect such information.

4. Data Collected

We collect certain personal data on our website to perform specific functions. We process the following categories of personal data for the purposes specified in section 3 of this Register:

Contact Form
To submit the form, consent must be given for the provided information to be processed in the ways described in this document. Consent is given by ticking a box linked to this privacy policy.

When visiting our website, an encrypted connection (HTTPS) is established between the website and the visitor’s browser. This means that information submitted, for example through forms, cannot be read by unauthorized parties while being transmitted from the browser to the website.

Cookies
Our website and the third-party services we use store cookies in your browser, provided that consent has been given for such storage. You can access the website even if you decline cookies, but certain functions may not work as intended. Most browsers automatically accept cookies. See your browser’s Help menu for instructions on how to block cookies.

Google Analytics
You can read about the cookies Google stores in your browser. Google Analytics is active only if the user has given us permission to store cookies in the browser.

LinkedIn Insight Tag
You can read about the cookies LinkedIn stores in your browser. LinkedIn Insight Tag is active only if the user has given us permission to store cookies in the browser.

Meta Pixel
You can read about the cookies Meta stores in your browser. Meta Pixel is active only if the user has given us permission to store cookies in the browser.

Visitor Statistics
Provided that the visitor has given consent, we collect anonymous information that helps us understand how the website is used. This also enables us to improve our services. The information is collected through Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and Meta Pixel, which are described further below on this page.

Other Information
A large portion of the data in our Register consists of information that the data subject has provided when placing an order, by email, or in similar situations related to the customer relationship.

Please note that your activities, such as acting as our customer or visiting our website, determine what personal data is processed and to what extent.

5. Sharing of Collected Information

Contact Form
Information submitted through the contact form is not disclosed to third parties. Only a limited number of individuals have the right to read and process information sent by visitors through our website.

When a user submits information, it is transmitted through a secure connection (HTTPS) between the browser and the website. The website then encrypts and stores the information. Data stored through the website can only be accessed by individuals who have been granted login credentials and a password for decryption.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to maintain visitor statistics. Google Analytics creates a visitor profile by collecting anonymous information, such as the type of browser used and the device from which the browser is accessed.

Information is transmitted to Google through website visits, and Google processes it as an independent data controller. Visitor-related data is transferred to Google, which processes it for its own purposes as a controller and may combine it with other information it has about the visitor. Google uses a unique identifier (IP address) for indirect identification of users, but it may combine this IP address with a directly identifiable natural person, for example when the user logs into a Google account.

Please note that when you are logged into a Google account, Google collects even more identifying information about you, such as unique device identifiers, information about the browser or application you use, advertising identifiers for Android/iOS mobile users, language preferences, your network of friends, and your most-watched YouTube videos.

Google uses visitor information for at least the following purposes:

* Location identification (country, city, company-owned or organization-owned network)
* Visitor behavior on the website
* Visitor interests on the website
* Remarketing and ad delivery

In connection with remarketing, Google supplements your IP address with usage-based information and categorizes users based on factors such as location, address, and age. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service can be found at: [https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en](https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en)

Blocking Cookies: Customers may prevent the use of cookies by changing their browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect the functionality of our services.

Deleting Cookies: The data subject may delete cookies through browser settings. By regularly deleting cookies, the user changes the identifier used to build their profile. However, deleting cookies does not completely stop data collection; rather, it resets the profile based on previous behavioral data.

LinkedIn Insight Tag
We use LinkedIn Insight Tag to maintain visitor statistics and target our marketing.

LinkedIn Insight Tag does not collect information that can directly identify an individual.

Please read LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy to learn how they use the information we share with them.

Meta Pixel
We use Meta Pixel to maintain visitor statistics and target our marketing.

Meta Pixel does not collect information that can directly identify an individual.

Please read Meta’s Privacy Policy to learn how they use the information we share with them.

Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA to ensure that our visitors are human users. This is done to prevent bots from sending spam through forms.

This means that Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Other Information
Any transfer of your personal data to third parties is based on written agreements that ensure your personal data is protected. We disclose personal data to authorities as required by our legal obligations.

We do not process personal data outside the EU/EEA.

6. How Long We Retain Collected Information

Information collected through the contact form is stored on the website for at least one (1) year. Otherwise, your information is retained for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. Therefore, it is not always possible to determine the retention period in advance.

We may be required to retain certain customers’ personal data in order to comply with accounting legislation or other mandatory legal requirements, even after the customer or user relationship, or another basis for processing personal data, has ended.

7. Users Have Full Control Over Their Data

Users have full control over their own data. This means that users have the right at any time to request information about what data we hold about them. They also have the right to request deletion of their data.

As a rule, exercising your rights is free of charge. However, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for repetitive requests or requests that are clearly unfounded or excessive.

If you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject, you may contact Miika Ronkainen ([miika.ronkainen(at)chemline.fi](mailto:miika.ronkainen(at)chemline.fi)).

8. Protection of Collected Information

Through organizational and technical measures, we ensure that your information is secure in all respects, protected against unauthorized processing, and not destroyed, deleted, altered, or transferred without authorization. The software that operates the website is continuously updated to correct security vulnerabilities identified over time. Traffic between the visitor’s browser and our server is encrypted.

Persons who process personal data are bound by confidentiality and non-disclosure obligations. Information is stored in databases protected by usernames and passwords and secured by technical measures such as firewalls.
