Kalevi Ronkainen founded the parent company Kuljetus Ronkainen in the 1950s, when he transported timber from the forest using horse-drawn loads. In 1962, Kalevi established the company for fuel transportation.
Kalevi’s son, Pekka Ronkainen, together with Kalle Anias, founded the current subsidiary Chemline in 2006, which initially focused on chemical transport. Pekka’s sons, Miko and Miika Ronkainen, further expanded the service offering by launching gas logistics in 2013.
Kalle Anias retired in 2025. Kuljetus Ronkainen acquired the entire shareholding of Chemline, and the companies merged.
Today, Chemline is a growth-oriented third-generation company. We combine decades of proven practices with modern digital solutions and data utilization to ensure that your logistics are efficient and raw materials are continuously available.
